Adsense and Blogging - Make Money Online-Money Bloggong Pairs !

At present we hear more often that Adsense is used as an effective tool to display contextually relevant advertisements of a company or product on the website. If a visitor clicks on the advertisement to check it out the advertisement poster earns a percentage of revenue. Many webmasters are increasingly used the Google Adsense model as it is very effective and popular. Blogging is very good for Adsense profits. Let's see in the next few paragraphs how blogging is used for increasing adsense profits.

You should use only niche blog sites that tend to generate more revenue through adsense. You may choose a niche site where sufficient number of advertisements is available to post. In case of items that don't sell for a high price and so it is not viable to advertise on the sites as the advertisement costs are particularly high. You can use keyword tools like overture to find out the most common keywords and also how much is paid per keyword. The key here is to get your site ranked well on the search engines.

It should be very much remembered that if the advertisements are more related to the website's content then your site has better chances of making it to the top of the search engines. You can also place the Adsense code in your website template to make maintenance of your websites easier. Along with blogging you can also choose use channels which will tell you which sites of yours are making more money in comparison to other sites. You should at least wait for a week after you post your advertisement on the website to see its effectiveness. You can configure web traffic from week to week to see which ad format works the best for you.

Another very effective thing to do is to integrate advertisements into the website. You can include the advertisement without any border so that the advertisement can be found by Google easily. You should post not more than 3 advertisements on each web page. You should be able to serve the most expensive ads at all times. You should also never make your advertisements scrollable. You will never see any scrollable advertisements on any website. The highest paid advertisements are normally posted on hotspots.

Along with blogging you can paste advertisements of the following sizes like 336 x 280 rectangle, the 300 x250 rectangle and the 160 x 600. Depending on the type of web browser and website the advertisements may appear in different sizes. You should experiment and track the results for each website.

Hence we see that blogging along with Adsense works best for making your website more searchable by people and increase your revenues in the end. Blogging is used to post one way links to your website. You can use softwares like BlogSolution that can automatically post more than thousands of one way links to websites. You can also save your list of links to be used again in the future.

Top Ten Must Know Tips to Get Numerous Traffic to your Site

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launching a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers. Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

These are the top ten tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rollig:

1. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn't news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

2. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.
You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

3. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that's the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you've done a good job!).

4. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people's blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.
Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

5. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else's blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.
This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

6. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

7. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.
To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at BlogCarnival.com

8. Submit your blog to BlogTopSites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

9. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn't bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.
How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

10. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I've listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won't stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

How to Terminate Full Screen Game or Software Process when Hang

Author: Raymond

The only computer game that I play is Counter-Strike Source, commonly shortened to CS:S or simply CSS. My desktop computer is powerful enough to handle the game but once in a while when I am playing the game half way, the game would just hang, sound is looping and nothing happens when I move the mouse or type anything on the keyboard. Weirdly, only the Counter Strike game hangs but my computer is still working fine. I know that my computer didn’t hang because when I press either the Num Lock, Caps Lock, or Scroll Lock keys at my keyboard, the LED light for the following keys would turn on and off.

I’ve tried pressing Alt+Tab to switch between Windows, Alt+F4 to close the active program, Ctrl+Shift+Esc to launch Windows Task Manager, Ctrl+Alt+Del to launch Windows Security dialog box, but NOTHING worked! The only way is to hard reboot the computer by pressing the reset button at the computer case. Hard resetting a computer is never good because it can damage the hard drive and cause data corruption.

Now I’ve figured a way to automatically terminate the game by pressing a shortcut key when it hangs.

Actually it is pretty simple and doesn’t require any advance level of computer knowledge. First you need to know what is the process name used by the game. Let’s take Counter Strike Source as an example. You can check the process name for the game by right clicking the CSS shortcut and select Properties. Go to the Shortcut tab to view the Target. As you can see, CSS process is actually hl2.exe (half-life 2).

Now you need to create a batch file that will kill the hl2.exe process when you simultaneously hit a combination of shortcut keys. Open Notepad (Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad), and type the command line shown below.

taskkill /IM hl2.exe

You should replace the hl2.exe with the target of your game that you want to kill. Save the text file as killcss.bat or whatever you want to call it as long as the extension is .bat and not .txt. When you run the killcss.bat file, it should be able to close the game. Now we will assign a shortcut key to run the batch file.

Right click the killcss.bat file and select “Create Shortcut”. A new file named “Shortcut to killcss.bat” will appear. Right click at “Shortcut to killcss.bat” file and select Properties. Click at the Shortcut Key blank area and type any key of your choice. If you type the letter “L”, it will automatically assign Ctrl + Alt + L as the shortcut key to run the killcss.bat file.

One very more important rule is that the .bat file MUST be placed at desktop for the shortcut key to take effect.

When the game hangs in future, I just need to hit Ctrl + Alt + L key to kill the game so I can restart the game without hard resetting my computer.

Make do follow on Blogger Comments - Delete nofollow atribute on blogger

What is Dofollow and Nofollow?

A dofollow link is one that search engines like Google will follow to the website and give that website a little “link juice”, meaning the more dofollow links a website has going to it the better PR it will have and the more traffic it will receive in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page). But a do follow link will also drain some of the juice away from the website the link is placed on. If a website it linking to a bunch of PR0 websites then it will give the website a negative impact. This is why many bloggers have only used nofollow links on the comments page…. that and mainly to deter spammers from shamelessly promoting their junk links.

The more backlinks you have going to your site the better. A backlink is simply a link on another site that points to yours. If you have a lot of backlinks then your website looks more important to Search Engines and you can rank much better. Here is a diagram how linking works.

Wordpress Blogs and Dofollow

In wordpress blogs the default setting is to have any comments left be in the “nofollow” catefory. That simply means that the links will not have any credence or get any special powers from the search engines. They will not “follow” it so the website will retain the “link juice”.

But now that spam filters have gotten so very effective (almost too effective in even blocking valid comments) more bloggers are letting the comments have dofollow links. And this blog is one of them.
Why go with a Dofollow Blog?

I want to encourage readers to interact with me. I want them to be rewarded for making comments and having the ability to leave a link that will help out their website too is a great reward. This being said, I will still have to watch for people spamming the comments, but with such effective spam filters I can just concentrate on letting my readers have their say.
How will Do Follow commenting on CashCoach.net help your site?

Well at the time of this writing, this is a very new blog…. only 1 month old really, and so the Page Rank has yet to climb up Google’s ladder, but here is the benefit of leaving useful comments on this site.:

* You get a link to your site on the comment page
* If you make the top commentor list you will have a link in the sidebar as well
* These links will not expire

So it really is a benefit for everyone. Comments that will be rejected are comments with junk links (websites that are spammy, scammy, or scary=). But don’t worry, if you look like a real person who wants to leave some helpful feedback, you will have no problem getting your comment through.

Why not practice a little and leave some feedback on this blog post. Get some link love while you are at it.

What do you think of dofollow blogs? and do you own a dofollow blog yourself?.

This is article how to delete “nofollow” on your blog ( Blogger ) :

improve ( Increase ) Alexa Traffic Rank

A collection of methods which can improve your Alexa Traffic Rank What is the Alexa Rank? In simple terms, the Alexa Rank is a ranking system of your website which bases its ranking on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of people who visit a website with the Alexa toolbar installed. The most important element of any website is content - good quality informative content cannot be beaten when trying to get a good page rank. The more people who visit your website and return or recommend it, the more your traffic will naturally increase. Below are a few methods that can help to improve your alexa rank :

1) Install the Alexa toolbar on your computer and request that anyone who knows you do the same.

2) Put an Alexa rank widget on your website. Each click can count as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.

3) Write an article or blog on Alexa. Webmasters love searching methods to improve their sites. Webmasters are also very likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed. Each visit will increase your alexa rank.

How To Make Vista Start, Run and Shutdown Faster.

While the discussion pertains to Vista particularly, the same applies to Windows in general too ! For a general user the first three are usually more than sufficient to make your Vista faster. The remaining are some more which a tweak enthusiast may wish to consider. Utilities like WinPatrol or Tune-Up Utilities can help you in most of the cases.

1. Restrict the no. of start-ups. Why have programs starting up when you dont really use them. Even those you use can always be started manually by clicking on the. I personally prefer not to have ANY starups. I click on my Internet Defense Suite manually, before connecting to the Internet. So decide for yourself which one's you really need as start-ups.

2. Disable services which one may not require. For example, if your pc is a stand-alone one, there may be sevral services which you can disable or switch over to manual mode. Auto-starting and closing down of services takes time & resources. These can be saved. BlackViper's Vista Service Configurations Windows Vista Service Configurations by Black Viper is an excellent guide to follow.

3. Reducing visual effects (eye candy). Right-click on “My Computer” > Properties > Advanced > Performance-Settings > Visual Effects > Adjust for best performance > Apply > OK.
To allow the themes and the glass effects, you may have to check on the boxes : enable transperant glass and use visual styles; this way atleast the spirit of Vista will be preserved- else be prepared for a really bland Vista ! Use your discretion. I know disabling all can actually negate the purpose of 'eye-friendly' Vista.

4. Ensure that boot defragmentation is enabled, so that files used during start-up are clubbed together.
Start Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOptimizeFunction . Select Enable from the list on the right.
Right Click on it and select Modify. Change the value to Y to enable and N to disable. Reboot.

5. Disable : "clear page file on shutdown" option. Cleaning the page-file on every shutdown means overwriting the data by zeros, and it takes time.
To clear/not clear page file you can apply this reg tweak. Back up registry before trying this.
Start->run->regedit [enter]
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management
Modify (if not present, rt click in open space and create) the Value Data Type/s and Value Name/s :
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value]
Value Name: ClearPageFileAtShutdown
Setting for Value Data: [0 = Clear Page File Disabled / 1 = Clear Page File Enabled]
Exit Registry and Reboot.

6. Defragment your System Disk & Fine Tune your Registry. If you find the Vista's in-built defragger slow, you can try SysInternals Power Defragmenter Download Power Defragmenter 2.0.125 - Power Defragmenter takes defragmentation process to a whole new level - Softpedia which works on Vista too ! Use the freeware CCleaner to clear up your PC Junk and clean up the Registry. Compacting the Registry occasionally is a good idea too !

7. Generally people also recommend emptying the Prefetch directory once in a while. But Windows uses this directory to speed up launching
applications. It analyzes the files you use during startup and the applications you launch, and it creates an index to where those files and applications are located on your hard disk. Using this index, Windows can launch files and applications faster. Nevertheless clearing the Prefetcher say once a month is what I do !

8. Go to BIOS settings, by pressing del key during boot-up, and disable 'seek floppy drive' option. This saves time for those who do not use floppy drives. There are also some BIOS hacks like Enabling Quick Post, Disabling Boot Daly, etc but best to refrain from these.

9. Change Boot-Order Sequence : Normally, the bios is set to boot from floppy first, then CD and then Hard Disk. Changing the Boot-Order to be: Hard Disk first, then maybe CD/Floppy, could possibly "shave" a second, I guess !

10. Disable windows startup/shutdown/logon/logoff sounds. Go to control panel, sounds & audio devices, sound tab, in program events select 'no sound' for these events.

11. Disable the ScreenSaver if you dont need it. Rt-Click desktop>ScreenSaver>None>OK.

12. Fonts take time to load. Removing some can save on resources. But one must be careful in deciding which fonts to remove. If you delete some system fonts, you may b in for trouble. Tweak VI Pro is a good shareware to manage fonts. It uninstalls fonts without physically removing them. Open its help file. It lists down the system fonts which must not be deleted ! use the list; and then decide what to delete and what to keep.

13. To REALLY reduce your shutdown time.
Start Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
Click on the "Control" Folder. Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
Right click on it and select Modify. the default value is ( i think) 12000.
Setting it to a lower 4 digit value,( say 1000) will make your PC shutdown faster, but you could end up losing data, so use this tweak judiciously.

Restore Task Manager, Regedit and Folder Options Disabled by Virus

Let’s face it. All of us have been infected by virus before. Even if you have anti-virus installed, you can still be infected by a new or custom virus that is not recognized by your anti-virus. Sometimes after removing the virus completely from our system, you’ll face new problems such as you can no longer bring up Windows Task Manager from CTRL+ALT+DEL. You get the error message saying “Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator”.

You think that it’s easy to fix this problem by going to Registry Editor but you can’t! You get the error message “Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator“.

Folder Options and even Show Hidden Files & Folder is disabled! How frustrating! Don’t worry, here’s how to restore your Windows Task Manager, Registry Editor, Folder Options and Show hidden files & folders.

Adsense for serch now powered by Costom Search

We're happy to let you know that AdSense for search is now powered by Custom Search. If you've used Custom Search Engine (CSE) before, you know that Custom Search offers advanced customization options to help improve the accuracy of your search results and tailor them to what users are looking for. With the integration of Custom Search into AdSense for search, you can take advantage of CSE's most popular features without having to leave your AdSense account.

Here are some of the new features:

* Site Search: You've worked hard to attract users to your site, so it's understandable that you'd be concerned about those users leaving through web search. Now you can choose to provide just site search so users can find all the information they're looking for on your site, and you can host the search results on your own pages so that they can find that information without leaving your site.

* Improved indexing of your pages: We've recently improved our indexing technology so that you can provide a more enhanced Site Search experience for your users. AdSense for search will now index even more pages of your site, as long as we’re able to crawl them, so that your users will see more results from your site in your AdSense for search results. Stay tuned for more updates on future crawl and indexing improvements!

* Vertical search: You can also allow your users to search across multiple sites - this could be a network of sites that you own or other related sites that you think your users might find useful. If you write book reviews on your blog, for example, you can use vertical search to specify a list of online bookstores for users to search through. Other examples of vertical searches include computer forums, travel blogs, political sites you endorse, etc.

* Tuning search results and ads with keywords: Search terms can have different meanings in different contexts, so you can now configure your search engine with relevant keywords. Let's say you manage a site about yoga - you can enter keywords such as 'yoga,' 'exercise,' and 'meditation' so that when a user searches for 'mat,' the search results and ads will be more related to yoga mats and less to commercial floor mats. (You can see an example of this in the video below). In experiments, we've found that this tuning has led to an increase in earnings for publishers.

* Selecting ad location: Do you want ads to appear at the top and bottom of your search results? Or along the right sidebar as well, just like on Google.com? Now you can make the call on where ads are placed. (Here's a tip: we've found that placing ads at the top and right monetizes the best for publishers.)

* Quick and easy updates: Just as you use our ad management feature to quickly change the settings for your ad and referral units, you'll be able to do the same for your search engine within your AdSense account. Your settings will be saved in your account, so you won't need to generate new search code for each change.

We recommend getting started with the features above by visiting your AdSense Setup tab and selecting 'AdSense for Search' as your product. Once you've set up your search box, you may wish to explore more advanced features such as site exclusion, labels, and collaboration. Please note that these new features will only be available to you if you've migrated your account to a Google Account.
